Terms and Conditions



Payment

  • Deposits are due within 14 days of initial reservation. Deposit amounts are: US$750 per passenger for Freedom 1 and Freedom 2, and US$1,000 per passenger for Freedom 3
  • Deposit is non-refundable but may be credited towards future trips at the discretion of Freedom Surf Adventures
  • Fuel surcharges will be levied for charters travelling to any other destination other than the Mentawai Islands including any destination(s) North or South of the Mentawais.
  • Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure date

Cancellation and Refund

  • Cancellation by the guest must be made at least 90 days prior to departure date.
  • No refund will be given for cancellations made less than 90 days prior to departure date.
  • Prepaid fuel surcharges will be refunded only if Freedom Surf Adventures is unable to provide travel outside of the Mentawai Island chain. Fuel surcharges are not refundable should the guests decide not to travel to destinations outside of the Mentawais.
  • In the event of cancellation of a trip by Freedom Surf Adventures, the company reserves the right to substitute a trip on another comperable boat on the same dates. Should the price be cheaper, the price difference will be refunded. If a more expensive boat is substituted, no additional charges will apply.
  • Should a trip be cancelled for any reason by Freedom Surf Adventures and no alternative trip is available as described above, the guest will receive a full refund.

Important Notes

  • All guests must have appropriate visas (if required). Passports should have at least 1 fully blank visa page and must be valid for at least 6 months from the time of entry into Indonesia. PERSONS HOLDING PASSPORTS WITH LESS THAN 6 MONTH VALIDITY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER INDONESIA.
  • All guests are required to have travel insurance including Med-Evac option as well as coverage for lost charter days due to circumstances beyond the control of Freedom Surf Adventures

Freedom Surf Adventures is not responsible for any losses incurred while travelling to and from Padang including lost baggage, theft, damage to equipment, unforseen travel fees, immigration issues, etc. The locations and number of spots visited on any charter will vary depending on surf and weather conditions as determined by the captain and discussed with the guests. Freedom Surf Adventures is not responsible for charters cancelled or cut short due to:guest illness (including seasickness), severe weather, guest emergencies or injuries, unforseen mechanical malfunciton, guest request to return early, or any other reason beyond the control of Freedom Surf Adventures. While Freedom Surf Adventures endeavors to make every trip safe and enjoyable, surfing can be a dangerous sport. Freedom Surf Adventures and its agents accept no liability for any injury, death, damage to equipment or personal property, or any other loss suffered during the surf charter. Freedom Surf Adventures is not responsible for weather and swell conditions on your trip. No refunds will be given for unfavorable surf or weather conditions.
